-2 sc in each sc.
-(inc. in next sc, sc in next sc) repeat for round.

-slip stich in next 3 stitches, sc in next 14 stitches, slip stitch in next 3 stitches.
-repeat last round
-Slip stitch in next 3 slip stiches, sc decrease, sc in next 10 stitches, slip stitch in the next 3 slip stitches, finish off.
Band
-Ch 12 (or you could chain more or less for a thicker or thinner band)
-Work double crochet rows until piece is long enough to fit around your head comfortably. Seam ends together.

I Love it :)
i'm in a band called the furious bears and we've been lusting after some ears for a while.
thanks, they look great!
Adorable! Can't wait to make one. Thanks for sharing the pattern.

I made one! You rule! :D Thank you so much.
The bear ears keep coming out looking like baskets, curled in very far on the open side. I'm using the right needle & yarn... How do you sew these onto a band so they look like ears instead of baskets?
Hmmm, you must crochet a lot tighter than I do, maybe try making the ears with a larger hook? I didn't have any problems with them being too basket-like so that's all I can think of, hope that helps!
Haha..I love it and they look so cute on you! Can't wait to make some. thanks
I had a bear headband need! So far I'm done one ear, and I'm excited to be crocheting again after a long hiatus.
Anonymous: Mine looked like amphora too until I realized you have to fold them in half, then kind of curl the bottom in a circle to make them look like ears. Does that help?
i wish i had one. *sniffs*
Done it yesterday!
Thanks for this beautiful headband, it will keep my ears warm next winter - and everyone will love those bear ears ^_^
MAny thanks from Italy***
How cute! I wish I could crochet, but I only know how to knit right now. Someday I'll have to learn and make those lovely ears!
I live in the twin cities (saint paul) and we are in dire need of three of these perfect bear headbands for a halloween costume...
I don't crochet, but what are the chances that you would be willing to help us out and make some cash??
Oh I do hope you'll consider it!
so my son is in the school play as the dancing bear and he is very hard to please!=) He loves your ears and I was wondering if you ever made things and sold them? I would be very interested if you could!you can email me at taryntipsword@yahoo
That is adorable! I love this, and will probably turn this into a hat for my youngest son. I made a cat ear hat for my little sister and now all her friends are ga-ga for it. They would probably be all boo-hoo for this, too! Great job!
super cute...^_^
Ha! They are so cute! I think I will make this in some obnoxious color like hot pink. Excellent!
I just love this. Can't wear regular hats ... hair's too straight and the hat just slips up 'til I look really stupid. Have to wear bands 'cos my ears get cold. Finally: something cute w/o snowflakes. I'm really sick of snowflakes ... Thank you.
I really really needed a bear headband! Believe it or not, I've been looking for something just like this. Now I can make my own and be beary cute. Thanks!!
