It's contagious and I totally got it! I cast on for a new pair this morning, it's Cookie A.'s Hedera from Knitty. I'm using Maizy in Hot Feet, the one that was going to be a contest prize (more on that later in the post), and size 2 needles. So far, I'm almost done with the twisted rib at the cuff and will soon move into laceville. The lace doesn't look too hard though and there aren't any scary charts of doom so all should be fine.
So there's some exciting news about the Yarn Review Contest that I'm having at the Vegan Sock KAL. I was contacted by someone at Crystal Palace and they are going to donate yarn for the prizes. So now there will be 2 winners who will each recieve 2 skeins of Maizy in the color of their choice. To enter, you have to write a review of a vegan yarn that you have used or would like to use for socks. You must include a picture of a swatch and/or a finished object you've made with the yarn. Also include helpful info like gauge, what needles you used, and how comfortable the yarn is to knit with. You may enter as many times as you'd like and it's ok to review a yarn that somebody has already reviewed, it's good to have second opinions. You'll receive one entry for every review you post, and then I'll put all the entries into a hat and pick out a winner. Note: you must be a member of this KAL to enter so come join the fun!
There is also a contest going on over at the Vegan Pal 2 blog, so be sure to check that out.
