Sanctuary Scarf

The Sanctuary Scarf is very special, I made it as a fundraising item for Farm Sanctuary. Josh Hooten of Herbivore is going on a 600 mile bike right from Portand Oregan to California next month and hopes to raise $10,000 for this great organization. Farm Sanctuary is a national, non-profit animal protection organization. Each year they rescue, rehabilitate and provide lifelong care for hundreds of animals rescued from factory farms, stockyards and slaughterhouses. The $30 purchase price of this scarf will be donated toward Josh's goal so please check it out if you can. Or you can donate here if you can, remember, any amount helps toward his awesome goal :)

And now a bit more about the actual scarf! I used my pattern, the Panda Cotton Drop Stitch Scarf, US size 7 needles, and one ball of Rowan Damask (57% Viscose, 22% Linen, 21% Acrylic). I really love how it came out, the yarn works great in this pattern. It's another very light yarn so this scarf will be great as a summer accessory.
