An Organic Cotton Forest

Today I wanted to share a couple of new goodies I have in my Etsy shop, pins made from 100% organic cotton fabric! It's starting to get a bit easier to find organic cotton in local shops which is of course awesome!

Since it's still a pretty new consumer item though, organic cotton fabric usually costs at least twice as much as conventional cotton fabric, but hopefully that will change with time. Soon I'll have some organic cotton project bags and zippered pouches in the shop too! What are your thoughts on organic cotton, do you seek out organic when it's possible?

Sure do! My husband has two t-shirt labels (like www.shirtsofberlin.com) and he uses organic cotton exclusively. I also try to buy organic yarns as often as I can

definitely organic wherever possible, especially cotton. given that 25% of the world's pesticides are used to grow cotton and 25% of the weight of a non-organic cotton t-shirt is chemicals in production and manufacture, i wouldn't have it any other way!

i'm glad you could find some super cute organic cotton for your buttons. so rad.

Adorable! I love organic cotton but can't afford to order it online and the shops around here are not organicky yet. I'm with you in hoping it comes down in price. As far as organic yarn, there seems to be a great number of affordable options now (hello knitpicks...)
