I knit a hat for my daughter. I haven't knit anything in 10 years so it was quite a feat! :)
I also follow your blog!
I knit a lovely little hat for myself that I wore on a trip. It looked lovely and I got oodles of compliments. Sadly, it was accidentally washed and got felted. BUT it had it's moment in the sun...so to speak.
Following you on twitter and looks like now following you here. :-)
I've only crocheted items this yeasr but certainly plan to start knitting again. I've already purchased some needles ins various sizes so I'd love to win one of your books to inspire me further!
My favorite thing I have knitted this year is a pair of heather gray wrist warmers.

Thanks for your kind comment on my blog! :) (I am determined to, as Tim Gunn says, make it work next time!)
Mind if I throw in an entry for this contest? My favorite project that I made this year was a lens sock. My friend is a photographer, and he asked me to knit a cosy for one of his lenses... certainly the most unique thing I have ever knit!
And, might I add, I *love* those Christmas sweater vests in your previous posts. Ugly Sweater Parties are my favorite kind of party.
My favorite thing that I knit this year was a hat for my dad after he had brain surgery. He's been wearing it ever since. I think I'll have to make him another one in a different color.
Already a follower! I love your blog!
My favorite thing so far has been the Cedar Leaf Shawlettes I knit for my friend and for my sister-in-law!

Thanks for the chance to win this book, how sweet of you! My fave thing I made was a pair of booties I mailed out to Pathways to Spirit with a sweater and hat to welcome a babe born to a teen mom. Felt really good to do this plus I really thought they looked cute and hope to make some for my baby due this spring. Happy Holidays to you!
I'm very proud of a top that I knit because it was quite heavily modified and because it fits very well.
I followed a pattern for a deeply-cut spaghetti-strap top that was knit in pieces, and what I actually knit was a short-sleeved raglan in the round, that had the same pretty lace stitch as the original pattern.
You can see it here if you want.
that cardigan is great! I just learned to knit this year. My favorite thing I did would have to be the hat I made for my hubby. It wasn't the hardest thing I've learned so far, but he loved it so much he practically never takes it off! And that makes me so happy. =D Thanks for the chance to win!

basketcase socks from Toe up socks for everybody :D
My favourite knit for this year happens to be my most recently finished project; a cabled, collared jumper for my partner, knit from a pattern leaflet from the 70s. Even though it's summer here, it's just about cold enough for him to wear it!

StaceyKnitsIt
My favorite thing knit is a baby blanket my sister, mom and I co-made for my other sister, who was pregnant at the time. a pre-birthday gift for the new baby
My fingerless gloves. Much warmer than fingerless mittens for my freezing office and warmer winter days outside. Am also wearing the slouchy beret I sort of reverse engineered almost every day. Finally a hat that keeps my ears covered on my big noggin.
--Norseland aka T. :)
My favorite this year would be the scarf that I'm working on right now. Can't wait to get it finished. Not a follower, yet!
My Tea Leaves Cardigan, for sure!!
Hi Kala, I'm subscribed to your blog via Google Reader. I just took a look through my Ravelry projects page and I think my favourite has to be the seamless yoke cardigan that I designed and knitted. I wear it often.
Crossing my fingers to win that book - I love the patterns that you've shown.
I knit a Citron shawlette for my grandmother using pink sparkly handspun. I even made her a little photo collage of my wheel and the various stages from fiber to yarn to shawl so she could see how I did it. My sister just visited her and told me Grandmom has the shawl on display in her sitting room but won't wear it for fear of ruining it, ha! Oh well, at least she likes it!
Thanks for the giveaway, I definitely covet that book. :)
I follow you, too. And I forgot to tell you in my last post, I'm jessecreations on ravelry so you can find me that way! :)

currently knitting a mini mochi pair of fingerless mitts... my current favourite :)
My favorite knitting project this year? That's a tough choice... I enjoyed knitting the, Jacques Cousteau Hat by Lalla Pohjanpalo, for my dad. I also really liked designing my own pattern for a dress, for my American Girl doll. Oh! And I really enjoyed making the, Jughead Hat by Jennifer Stafford! My first time doing short rows on anything other than socks. There was also a really fun pair of chunky knee-highs this year. And I knitted my first felted project, which came out really cool! But as I'm allergic to wool, I'm to sure it counts as fun... Looking back, this has been a great year for my yarn crafts! It's too hard to choose a favorite project from a whole year!
Thanks for the chance to win such a cool looking book!

My favorite knit this year was a sleeveless hoodie for autumn, but now it's so cold I wish it had sleeves! Thanks for the giveaway!
Thanks for the giveaway Kala! My favourite knitted thing in 2011 would have to be my first pair of socks. They were just simple two by two rib and I've now done lace, cables etc. But they were the first and proved I COULD knit socks.

My favorite thing I knit this (last!) year were team color socks for a friend's husband and my boyfriend. I bought bare sock yarn and dyed them to match their favorite team colors and then knit each pair toe up (2-at-a-time, which isn't a new technique for me, but the toe up construction was and I LOVE it). It was a great project start to finish. :)
I love that Battleboro hat, too!
