Bananagrams Review
Last night, my husband and I finally pulled out the Bananagrams
Word games are my favorite, I love Boggle, Scrabble, and Scattergories, and Bananagrams fits in nicely with these games. I also love that Bananagrams is affordable, the game costs $14.95, a great value for a game that I know I'll play for many years. Overall, I definitely recommend this game, it even has rules for playing solo!

I bought it for my daughter but haven't played it. It took her a while, but now it is a fun game that she enjoys with her Academic Decathlon team - they even made t-shirts in the shape of banangrams! It's so portable they can play it at school lunch or when they are gathered at parties.
We've been playing Bananagrams for years - so much fun, and a great way to get kids excited about words/spelling!
Our 8 year old got this for christmas--it is fun, though the kids are still pretty creative spellers! I like that there is no cardboard box to break and lose!
That does look like fun! We love Scrabble!
I've heard about this game before! It sounds like so much fun, but I've never seen it in the UK (although I suppose I haven't really been looking!)
I LOVE bananagrams! I first played it last year on vacation. I bought the book version for my boyfriend. Its not as fun. I also tried the iphone app...but its not great cuz there's not enough space to spread out and build words
the actual game is a lot of fun
i want to try the apple and pear versions!
haha yes! my dad got this for xmas, never played it and he was getting rid of it so i nabbed it and gave it to my partner a couple weeks ago. he's completely obsessed with it, addicted. plays it every day. he even plays online when he doesn't have anyone else to play with. it's hilarious.
I've played Bananagrams with my MIL quite often and I love it! It's so fun! :)
I have the Bananagrams game...but I make up my own rules. Basically, I play it more like Scrabble only not for points. I use it most often with my students as a "fun" activity where I am almost always able to make vocabulary words that they don't know :-) Sometimes I use the tiles to help the students with other activities, too.
Love this game, only G kicks my butt every time we've played... he's such a smartie!
I've seen this game so many times, along with the other games that come in the apple and pear bags, but never knew what it was! I love Scrabble, so this may be a good investment. Thanks!
I played online Bananagrams!
If you enjoy this type of game, try up-words, it's also fun to play!
Haha I just tried to get my boyfriend to play last night. We have had them for a while but he doesn't like them (I think it is because he always loses haha).
I love bannagrams! My mom bought it a little while ago and we play it all the time. My family loves playing games.
Oooh. A new game to try!
Our family has had Bananagrams for a couple of years. We like it, but it seems like when we are in the mood for a word game Scrabble inevitably gets pulled out. Have fun!
Bananagrams! I am hearing about them for the first time. Off I go to explore more about bananagrams. The name sounds funny, though.
We got this for Christmas, too, but have been waiting for a large group to play. Can 2 play it just as well?
Lisa - yup, you can play with 2 people, that's the only way I've played so far.
Good to know - maybe we'll pull it out tonight. :-)
I love word games, and this one is perfect for 2 players or an entire group! We have laughed so much while playing this game, and it's a terrific way to help children try out their vocabulary and spelling. Great for us oldsters who want to keep sharp too!
