Christmas Eve Eve

Okay, Christmas Eve Eve might not be a thing...but it kind of is, right?  Maybe.  Anyway, we haven't been super Christmas-y this year, so tonight we went to see the Phalen Holiday Lights in the Park.  Yay for Christmas activities!  Here are a few pics I was able to snag:

Cute, right?  It was a fun little activity - not something I think I would do every single year, but every few years might be nice.

We also fully intended on getting to the James J. Hill house (fancy gigantic historical mansion) this month for one of their holiday programs, but time seemed to get away from us this year.  We did however manage to get to the Mall of America to look at decorations and take some pictures with huge Christmas ornaments:

Can you tell which character is depicted on the gigantic ornament?

We've also been failing on the Christmas cookie front.  Usually by now, we would have made several different kinds of cookies, but so far we've only really made one batch!  Crazy pants!  Tomorrow is gingerbread people night though, and I'm really looking forward to it.  We ALWAYS use this recipe from the PPK, it's awesome.

What are some of your favorite cookies to make for the holidays?
